Anyone traveling out of the United States may be at risk for exposure to diseases that are uncommon in this country.
Testing and treatment are available at MCHC.
Outbreak investigations are also conducted if necessary. Insurance is not required for treatment.
Potential or suspect cases of diseases, dog bites, and/or bat exposures are reported from hospitals, law enforcement, laboratories, and health care providers to the local Health Department in a process known as “reporting.”
